Passports

Now don’t go expecting this many updates usually. I’m just getting things going today. So, here’s another thing … passports. As a regular traveller through ports and airports, I simply cannot see what the problem is with passports. Take, for example, the Channel Tunnel. When you arrive at the toll booths for the Channel Tunnel there is a sign that says, ‘Please take passports out of their wallets and have them ready for inspection’. Once through the toll booths there is a sign that says, ‘Please have your passports ready for inspection’. When you are nearing the Border Control there is a sign that says, ‘Please have your passports ready for inspection’. On the front of the booths for Border Control there is a big sign that says, ‘Please have your passports ready for inspection’.

Now … At which point in this journey from the toll booths to Border Control did anyone see a sign that said, ‘Ignore all signs about having your passports ready and make sure they remain firmly locked in a bag buried deep in your boot’? For goodness sake, read the chuffing signs!!!! You know who you are! It’s RudyMenTerry!
